crying’s not for me

I had almost forgotten how handy microsoft’s reader software is. I had it on my old laptop and it was handy then, but at the time I preferred reading real books. Now, I’m not so fussy.

I’ve only just remembered because I wanted to get hold of a free copy of Ivanhoe and downloaded it again with intention of locating Ivanhoe in ebook form.

Only to discover I already have it, in the backup folder of one of my external drives from before my old laptop kicked the bucket.

Hee.

Hilariously, googling my own name wasn’t how I found out that there is a girl in my VILLAGE, that shares my name. Even my middle initial.

The woman at the newsagent asked my dad if I went to one of the local schools when he went to pick up a magazine.

Then he met the girl’s brother in a shoe-shop.

We’re were probably even born in the same hospital, two years apart.

The difference between us though, is that she doesn’t have the sense to limit where our name appears online.

Which is a minor annoyance.
